About Steel Dust Recycling

     Steel Dust Recycling (SDR) was founded in mid-2006 to build and operate a Waelz Kiln processing      plant to recycle EAF dust, a waste byproduct of Electric Arc Furnace mini-mills. The facility,      located in an industrial development located near Millport, Alabama, was dedicated in June of      2008.

     The SDR Alabama site - in the middle of a growing steel-making region – is strategically placed      to reduce transportation costs for nearby EAF steel producers:
